Since I can't go a single at school without people blindly fawning over this series : Twilight, I would like a fan to explain why they like it. Please use a real explanation; not someting like "its awesum cause it just is!!!"

I slaved through the first one, fed by the lies from friends that it got better at the end, only to discover that I had wasted 3 days reading it. I honestly tried to like it, but I found nothing redeming about it at all.

Actually, whether you like it or don't, I'd like to hear your opinion. Although, keep it clean please. I just really want to hear an intelligent reason for why some people like this series.

I had only one friend who was able to give me a real reason, sadly. She said she liked the writing style, even the rest of it is lacking (she likes it, but she stil feels it's an average book). I don't realy get how only that makes it a good book as a whole, but , hey, she put thought into her answer.

So, from both sides, please.
